What happens to what you write to me
The short version: your name, email and message are used only so I can reply. Nothing else.
What is stored
Only what you type into the form on the Contact page: your name, your email address and the text of your message, along with the date and time it arrived.
What it is for
So that I can write back. That is the only use. There is no newsletter, nothing is marketed to you, and your details are not passed to anyone.
Where it sits
On this site's own server. I am the only person who reads the messages; nobody else has access.
How long
For as long as we are sorting something out, and a little after. A message is deleted within a year at the latest. You can also ask me to delete it straight away.
What you can ask for
Write to me and I will send you what I hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete all of it. One message is enough; you do not have to explain why.
Cookies and traffic measurement
This site does not track you. There is no Google Analytics and no advertising tool, and nothing is stored in your browser that could identify you. Only two technical things are kept: the language you chose, and my own admin login.
What I note about traffic
A counter of my own records that someone looked at a piece or clicked through to Instagram. No IP address, no identifier, nothing about your browser. It cannot show who you were, or even how many people there were – only how many views.
